Skill Notes

You can pick another skill for your third utility slot according to what your group needs:

  • for a 900 Range revive.
  • for additional Crowd Control, healing and Projectile Destruction.
  • for an additional shared Stun Break source.
Trait Notes

In the Honor Trait Line:

  • for additional Protection on heal.
  • adds additional healing to Aegis you grant.
  • increases your Might generation when you land critical hits.

You can also play a more Aegis oriented version to spam more :

Gear Notes
  • Spear can be used instead of Staff for increased condition cleanse and Resistance output, at the cost of extra CC and Swiftness.
  • Axe instead of Mace for an extra powerful Pull at the cost of healing, Protection and Aegis output. Pair it with .

As for relic, you have a lot of choices as this build doesn't really synergize with any of them:

  • or for increased Healing.
  • to remove any impairing conditions such as Immobilize from allies when you use your healing skill.
  • to further help rezzing Downed allies.

Rotation & Extras

Support Luminary is a strong support that focuses on giving Stability. The build also has strong offensive options to Crowd Control enemies whilst retaining a lot of defensive options to support your allies. It provides Stun Breaks, strong Heals, Cleanses and good defensive boons output.

Support Luminary has access to empowered Virtues, but also to an unique Radiant Forge:

  • Every 2 - 5 is associated to a weapon. Using these weapons will increase the forge's Cooldown on exit, so you might not want to use all of them. Each weapon grants an unique passive effect to the player while also changing the effect of your Auto Attack Chain.

  • As you are only able to acquire one of these buffs at a time, we will try to equip and as much as possible.

  • Equiping weapons is vital as you trigger , which reduces Cooldown of , a powerful application of Stability, Protection, Resistance and Aegis.

Primary Support Boons

As a Primary Support, your main job is to keep reapplying Stability, Protection and Resistance to your party. Here is a breakdown of your available sources.

Stability

Source Notes Usage
Grants Stability, Protection and Resistance to your sub-group in a 600 Radius. Aim to use this skill as much as possible on the important clashes. We will start with this skill on engage.
Grants Stability, Resolution in a 600 Radius and Stun Break yourself. Use this skill on our squad main Cooldowns to ensure our allies won't be stopped by Crowd Controls.
A powerful field pulsing Stability on the targeted area. This skill is ideal to constantly reapply the boon to allies to counter incoming Boon Removal. Use this skill on any important clash when the sources we previously mentionned are on Cooldown.
Grants Stability and Protection in a 300 Radius. Keep this skill as a way to fill the gaps in your rotation in order to keep the Stability uptime as high as possible.

Protection

Source Notes Usage
Grants Stability, Protection and Resistance to your sub-group in a 600 Radius. Aim to use this skill as much as possible on the important clashes. We will start with this skill on engage.
Block the next incoming hit then counter-attack, granting boons to nearby allies at 240 Range. Use this skill when both squads are clashing and you need to absorb pressure in front.
Grants boons in a cone in front of you. This skill can be used to help your allies at a decent range, especially on a risky movement or if they get in trouble far from your squad.
Using any of your Stance utility skills will grant Protection in the Stance Radius. Simply keep your Stances for their primary uses but remember they will grant Protection aswell !

Resistance

Source Notes Usage
Grants Stability, Protection and Resistance to your sub-group in a 600 Radius. Aim to use this skill as much as possible on the important clashes. We will start with this skill on engage. As it is our only source of Resistance, it is important to abuse triggering to use this skill more often.
Example Rotation

Your gameplan as a Primary Support should be as follows :

  1. on the first move. to cover the Stability from getting removed by enemies.
  2. on the following move. This is usually the Well of Corruption Call from your Commander.
  3. in order to grant boons, Heals and trigger .
  4. on the following move. Aim this skill carefully and avoid using it while your squad is moving.
  5. can then be used once your Stability runs out or if you need to instantly reapply this boon after any incoming Boon Removal.

From this point, your first Cooldowns should already be back and you can repeat the process in order to ensure your party has Stability on every single move. This is your main priority as a Support Luminary. Try not overlapping Stability sources as much as possible to ensure a longer boon uptime for your party : reapplying 5 stacks of Stability over 10 already existing stacks does not hold any value.

You should maximize your efficiency during the downtimes in between these applications to grant other boons. Here are a few interesting skills to use in between moves :

  • from Staff for Might and Endurance.
  • from Mace for Protection and Aegis.
Support Allies

is a powerful instant cast that Heals and Remove Conditions from allies. Use this skill as often as possible as it is also affected by .

Our main sources of sustained Healing from our weapons are :

  • from Mace.
  • and from Staff.

However, most of our burst will come from and . Keep these Cooldowns for the main clashes and use your weapon skills to fill in between.

Mind , your Radiant Forge Auto Attack, will also Heal for a decent amount if your last used weapon is or .

  • and are your 2 Stun Breaks, with the latter also being shared to your allies. It is adviced to track their Cooldowns as you will be exposed to enemies' Boon Removal effects a lot.

  • is your main defensive Cooldown, allowing you to Block incoming attacks for 2 seconds.
