Rotation & Extras

Power Herald is a solid DPS build with access to Ranged Damage that relies on Might to empower itself and its allies.

amplifies the effects of Might, allowing us to gain up to 1000 Power at maximum stacks. It is vital for us to upkeep this boon as much as possible thanks to traits such as .

This build also shines using multiple tools from its kit to execute Ranged Damage, melee bursts, generate Downs, gap closes and escapes in order to disrupt enemy resustain.

Spear will help us dealing with targets we cannot reach from melee, aswell as cleaving from safer places.

Greatsword is our primary source of melee spike and burst to get the enemy players Downed and killed.

and will both grant us additional access to Ranged Damage, but also more boons for the squad.

will provide Stability up to a total of 25 players while Facets will periodically grant Protection, Might, Fury and Swiftness.

Opener

Start the fight on to start looking for a Ranged Spike with and Spear. You should activate , and before the start of a fight.

Spear and are both really costly on Energy. Thus, our goal will be to use them separately, so we will couple with Spear and with Greatsword.

You should aim to use skills for:

  • should be used on main engages to deal heavy Damage and grant pulsing Stability to allies.
  • The rest of our Energy should be used to upkeep ; it constantly deals Damage and also triggers the powerful trait for its duration to empower our weapon skills.

You should aim to use skills for:

  • as Ranged Damage.
  • for melee Damage.
  • can occasionally be used for its Crowd Control which Launches enemies away.
  • Other Facets can be upkept to also trigger as is really cheap on Energy. The more upkeeps we have, the more extra Damage our other skills will do.

Knowing the most important skills, you should now be aware of the different combos you can do in order to maximize their synergy. Here are a few examples:

Spear Rotation

You should be on Spear in order to Range spike, but also to exhaust the enemy support tools and keep sustaining Damage with your other allies:

  • is a really strong filler skill with a good Damage for Energy ratio.
  • can be used in order to punish enemies pushing while getting an Evade frame.
  • is a really strong Pull which should be aimed to setup major bursts along with your squad.
  • is the main source of Damage of this weapon : try to aim it properly in order to hit the enemy frontline, and keep in mind using any other Spear skill will reduce the Cooldown of this one. It should be your priority to cast this spell as many times as possible.

A basic burst combo would be:

Greatsword Rotation

You should be on Greatsword to deal massive burst Damage in melee:

  • for strong melee burst. Mind the really short range.
  • for quick gap closer and strong Damage. Be aware you will end up in melee during the cast so use it carefully.
  • is your major source of burst, especially paired with the other skills. Try to cast it first so the delayed Damages will hit with your next skill. Mind that this skill can hit from a slightly higher Range than the other Greatsword skills and is therefore your safest cast.

A basic melee combo would be:

  1. if you can land safely on your target.

Positioning yourself properly during your combos is crucial as you will otherwise instantly die in the melee pressure.

Rotation Notes
  • Synchronize your ticking Damage such as and with any sort of Energy upkeep to get a strong modifier from . You can be double tapping skills like in order to not drain your energy too much but still get the extra modifier on the desired frames.
  • Try to avoid swapping stance when you have a lot of Energy left : you should get used to the Energy cost of your skills in order to optimize your Energy use and not waste it. If you find yourself left with too much Energy, try to use upkeep skills more to naturally drain it or cast more weapon skills.

As stated before, Power Herald provides multiple sources of Stability that will contribute to keep us and our squad safe:

  • for 25 targets pulsing Stability.
  • in for group Stability.
  • if traited.

Additionally, brings good survival tools with converting every incoming Damage to Heal for 3 seconds and as a short Cooldown Stun Break.

Greatsword and Spear also respectively have for a short Block and for an Evade frame.

As a last option, do not hesitate to abuse the Range of your Spear in order to avoid Damage.
