Intro

is 1 of 2 bosses before the final boss of Wing 7. He has 1 pre-event before his platform. He has 3 main phases, with 2 movement phases.

You use the following Masteries and mounts:

  • Masteries: (everyone). Also, if killing wisps, (wisp-killer player).
  • mounts: None. However, a flying mount makes returning to after wiping faster.

uses -based tanking. However, everyone stacks together for fighting, so no tank is needed.

All players must be able to quickly use their SAK (special action key) during the fight, for using .

  • The commander needs to see the full squad in the squad UI, to count players with (shown with yellow borders) for .

2 strategies for the third main phase's wisps, with 1 special role for each strategy:

  • (most common; killing wisps) wisp-killer: Usually with Mace/Mace ( and ), but other DPS with good CC and burst damage also work. Goes to the side platforms, switches to Mace/Mace (if ), ( and extra CC when needed), and then kills them.
  • (ignoring wisps) projectile-handler: 2 (or 3, if backup is needed) users absorb projectiles on the squad. Before the fight, decide the order of use. Alternatively, use , but it's better to kill wisps than use . Other reflects/projectile absorbs like and also work, but are not great for the role.

If you have high squad DPS, you can use to shorten the movement phases.

Bring 2 healers (like and ). This fight needs lots of healing.

If greeding DPS, skills that give or ignore/absorb damage (, , ) prevent from and .

Pre-Event: Opening the Gate

After completing Gates of Ahdashim, from the Key's Fountain point of interest, go west.

Kill the and .

  • are larger. They use , causing and stacking . Every attack gives them (+5% outgoing DPS and attack speed), which stacks to 20.
  • are smaller. They use , causing and 1-second . ticks 500 damage and pushes away players. Both attacks stack .

As enemies hit you, you get stacks of , increasing damage dealt and taken. While fighting , you stack this to increase your DPS. At 5 stacks, you get the SAK.

  • : +5% incoming and outgoing damage per stack. Stacks up to 5 times. Gives at 5 stacks.
  • : Ground-targeted AoE. Causes a little damage and a 5-second . . Gives a yellow border around your health bar in the squad UI.

For now, avoid the tornadoes. Touching tornadoes launches you into the air. They also remove and .

  • If you have , touching tornadoes causes . It removes and , and spawns 4 bars of electricity that cause .

After killing the enemies, use the pedestal to open the gate.

Go to the center of the open room, where talks. Kill the , spawning a little cloud AoE launchpad.

Touch the cloud launchpad to go to the nearby platform. Repeat killing and using cloud launchpads until you're on a long platform.

Use the tornadoes on the long platform to glide to the next platform.

After killing the final , use the cloud launchpad to go to platform.

Stay at the edge of platform. Don't use your mount's attack to dismount!

  • The AoE of mount attacks can hit , starting the fight before everyone's ready.

Boss Fight: Cardinal Sabir

Main Phase 1 (100% to 80%)

You start on a large floating platform.

The fight begins when you get close to or attack him.

  • You have 9 minutes to kill , or he enrages (+200% outgoing damage).

  • If you fall off during the fight, go up again, making sure to heal as needed. You only die if you fall below the previous main platform.
  • has:

    • : Auto-attack chain. Cleaving sword slash with right hands, cleaving sword slash with left hands, and then lightning that hits everyone, including players on other platforms. gives . Causes .
    • : Used after CCing . Orange player-targeted AoEs. When they fill, they explode, causing moderate damage. Likely to players when circles overlap them.
    • : Used when Main Phases 1 and 2 end. AoE that causes a little damage and . Can be blocked or .

Stack in front of . DPS .

    • By stacking in front of , he hits you, giving you (for higher DPS) and (for CC).

    At 90%, gets a and .

gets a , , and 3 rotating AoE lines. Avoid the AoEs. Use and other CC skills on . Spread out to avoid getting hit by multiple AoEs. Stack at and heal.

    • : Gives . Puts on players.
    • : Pushes players away from , while ticking for 750 damage and stacking . Ticks are blockable.
    • : Orange line AoEs that rotate around , causing .

Keep moving toward to avoid being pushed off the platform.

Use and other CC skills (like ) to CC .

After CCing , spread out. Make sure that the AoEs don't overlap players.

After the AoEs explode, stack at again and heal.

    DPS .

    • (if using portals) After CCing , drop to the small platform below the main platform. Use , and then return to the squad.

At 80%, uses and flies away, starting Movement Phase 1.

    Movement Phase 1

Kill , use their cloud launchpads, and repeat. On the long platform, avoid the orange-AoEed tornado and use a white-AoEed tornado to glide to the next small platform. Go to platform when everyone's ready.

When flies away, he spawns a cloud launchpad near the main platform's edge. Use it to go to the nearby small platform.

Kill the to spawn another cloud launchpad. Use it to go to the next platform. Keep killing wisps and using cloud launchpads until you're on a long platform.

    • (if using portals) On the fourth small platform, ignore the . Use to go to the small platform before .

Go into a white-AoEed tornado, and then glide to the next platform. Avoid the orange-AoEed tornado.

    • If you can't glide to the next platform, land and use another tornado.
    • Hold Spacebar to automatically start gliding at the top of the tornado.
    • Touching the orange-AoEed tornado kills you. Be careful! If you glide too low, you touch it!

Kill another . When everyone's together, go to the main platform, starting Main Phase 2.

    • Wait for fallen players to join you, so they aren't damaged by mechanics (, etc.) away from healers.

    Main Phase 2 (80% to 60%)

Main Phase 2 is the same as Main Phase 1, but with tornadoes and .

Tornadoes move counterclockwise on the patterned tiles of the platform. To avoid the tornadoes, stand near , between the patterned tiles in the north/east/south/west.

    • Don't touch tornadoes unless you're avoiding ! If you touch a tornado, you lose and ! You also create projectiles that damage other players!

DPS while stacking together and avoiding the patterned tiles.

At 75%, uses . Use a tornado to go into the air (and if needed, glide), landing after the shockwave.

    • : 2 light orange rings (with sounds) expand from , followed by a shockwave on the main platform. The shockwave anyone it hits on the ground.
    • If needed, use to quickly go to a tornado.
    • Skills that give or ignore/absorb damage (, , ) prevent .
    • You can teleport past the shockwave, using skills like , , and .
    • You cannot , , or use through the shockwave.
    • Tornadoes prevent fall damage.

    Continue DPSing .

    • At 70%, gets a , , and rotating AoE lines ("free CC"). CC him, spread out until your AoEs explode, and then stack again.
    • (if using portals) After CCing , drop to the end of the long platform. Use , and then return to the squad.
    • At 65%, uses .

At 60%, uses and flies away, starting Movement Phase 2.

    • (optional) Use a tornado (before it despawns at the phase's end), so you can glide to the first small platform before the first launchpad spawns.
    • Movement Phase 2

Movement Phase 2 is like Movement Phase 1, but with a second white-AoEed tornado replaced by an orange-AoEed tornado.

Use the cloud launchpads to go to higher platforms, and kill to spawn cloud launchpads.

      • (if using portals) On the fourth small platform, portal to the end of the long platform. Don't move, so the nearby white-AoEed tornado launches you up.

On the long platform, avoid the orange-AoEed tornadoes. Use the white-AoEed tornadoes to glide to the next platform. Kill another .

When everyone's together, go to the main platform, starting Main Phase 3.

      Main Phase 3 (60% to 0%)

Main Phase 3 is like Main Phase 2, but with a modified auto chain, , a giant orange-AoEed tornado, , and .

      • The small tornadoes now move clockwise, instead of counterclockwise.

uses after every 2 auto-attack chains.

      After , gets a and .

gets a rapidly regenerating and stacking buffs that increase his damage and defense. When 5+ players have , wait until the commander says to use . Spread out to avoid getting hit by multiple AoEs. Stack at and heal.

      • : +3% outgoing damage, -5% incoming damage. Causes immunity to . Stacks every 3 seconds. Removed by breaking .
      • While has , he only uses auto attacks ().
      • (commander) In the squad UI, players with have yellow borders.

gets a 2,500 that rapidly regenerates. To CC , multiple players use at the same time.

      • 5 uses of breaks the .
      • Most commanders use 6+ players, so even if a player is too slow/too fast (or loses ), there's still enough CC for the .
      • Avoid the small tornadoes! They remove your !
      • If the is almost broken, use other CC skills to quickly finish breaking it.

After CCing , spread out. Make sure that the AoEs don't overlap players.

After the AoEs explode, stack at again and heal.

After , uses his auto chain, except with instead of . Go to a bubble in one of the corners of the platform.

      • ("corners"): A square orange AoE that expands from . When it fills, it players outside of . However, the side platforms are safe.
      • ("bubbles"): 2 light blue bubbles with white columns that spawn on the main platform. Stand in or glide over the bubble to avoid .
      • If needed, use to quickly go to a bubble.
      • Skills that give or ignore/absorb damage (, , ) prevent .

now has a new attack pattern:

      1. repeat

At 50%, a giant orange-AoEed tornado (Titanic Twister) spawns, rotating clockwise around the main platform. Move so that you're stacking behind the giant tornado, while still avoiding the small tornadoes. For , use the bubble that's further from the tornado.

      • Like the smaller orange-AoEed tornadoes from the movement phases, touching the giant tornado kills you.
      • Be careful not to into the Titanic Twister or in front of it, especially if ignoring wisps! The wisps' attacks make it hard to move!

At 40%/30%/20%/10%, a side platform appears. A spawns 5 seconds later, followed by a if not killed after 30 seconds.

Depending on your wisp-handling strategy, either the wisp-killer goes to the side platforms, or the projectile-handlers start blocking projectiles.

      • At 40%, the west platform spawns.
      • At 30%, the north platform spawns.
      • At 20%, the east platform spawns.
      • At 10%, the south platform spawns. (If killing , this platform is usually ignored.)
      • New spawn 40 seconds after dying.
      • If projectiles are still a problem, use projectile-absorbing/-reflecting skills like or .

Go to side platforms, CC before killing them, and then glide back to the main platform.

Go to the side platform by using a tornado and gliding, or by gliding into a big at the corners of the arena.

      • Use the big at the corners, not the small between the main and side platforms. The small don't launch you as high as the big ones.
      • Be careful when moving between the main and side platforms! If you're too close to the main platform, will you, causing you to fall and die.

      CC before killing them.

      • If you're using , to it first, increasing your CC.
      • Use to CC the . If more CC is needed, use other CC skills.
      • have 600 .

After killing a , glide back to the main platform.

      • After killing a , covers the side platform until it respawns.
      • If it's too dangerous to return to the platform (, the giant tornado, etc.), stay on the side platforms. Using the can kill you (, nearby ).
      • respawn after 40 seconds.

Use your projectile-absorbing/-reflecting skills on the squad.

If using //other non-moveable skills, place the AoE so it covers both the squad's current location and the next stacking location (e.g., if squad's stacked south, place the AoE so it covers south and west).

If using , keep it on the squad, moving it when the squad moves.

At <30%, the next is always (instead of ), so use freely. Afterwards, attack pattern returns to normal.

      When dies, the fight ends.

When gets , 5+ players need to have to CC him.

      • Avoid the tornadoes while waiting for the commander to tell you to use !
      • Having 6+ players to use is safer, in case someone uses it too early/late or loses it to a tornado.

Stay behind the giant tornado, not in front of it. For , hide in the bubble behind its clockwise movement, not in front of it.

To avoid , stand/glide in the light blue bubbles.

Side platforms spawn at 40%/30%/20%/10%, with and spawning on them.

      • (if killing wisps) Wisp-killer goes to the side platforms, CCs and kills the , and then returns to the main platform.
      • (if ignoring wisps) Projectile-handlers use projectile-blocking/etc. skills.

      DPS until he dies.
