Power Boon Chronomancer is a very versatile build. In essence, you are responsible for providing permanent
Quickness to five players while an
Alacrity Renegade provides permanent
Alacrity to the entire squad.
Quickness for the remaining five players should be covered by either an additional
Power Boon Chronomancer or a
Condition Quickness Firebrand.
Depending on the variation and changes to utilities, you have access to valuable utility in form of Aegis, Blocks, Boon Removal, ,
Pulls, as well as access to a high amount of CC.
This is the default build and should be played whenever possible. If you need access to or , refer to the other variants.
This variant is only recommended for encounters where you need . Unlike Greatsword, your clone and therefore Quickness generation is extremely limited and you can easily override the few clones you have. To account for that, we recommend and for this variant.
By not running Dueling, this variant trades a large amount of damage for utility and should only be played if that utility is truly necessary. Mainly:
The required Boon Duration varies greatly depending on your personal and your groups skill level. While the recommended value should be sufficient for every encounter, you might still find yourself dropping boons. Don't get discouraged if this happens and simply increase your
Boon Duration until you are able to maintain boons reliably. As you gain experience and become more confident, you'll be able to decrease your
Boon Duration.

Make sure to always pay attention at which point you can and/or will generate clones, so you don't accidentally override existing clones.
Always prioritise for damage. You can slightly delay it to cast it with three clones.
Always cast with three clones but only if you then have enough clones for the next .
Make sure to cast every Shatter inside of , as they generate Quickness.
When is about to come off Cooldown, finish that loop but skip .
When comes off Cooldown, continue from Step 1 of the opening but skip the .
Almost always queue the next ability while the current one is already casting, to not waste any time in your rotation. However, beware that , , and Weapon Swap will cancel the currently casting ability.
Always finish your auto attack chains as the majority of the damage is loaded into the final part.
During the loop, you have enough leeway in between the listed skills to finish them safely.
Make sure is charged and only cast if you have two charges available. If done correctly, you will regain the second charge right before is ready again.

Outside of , your rotation revolves around a single ability per weapon set — on Sword and on Shield — while casting every ability according to a priority list.
You always want to swap back to Shield once you've cast three times outside of .
On your Shield set, cast once and swap back to your Sword set as soon as possible.

Once your is available again, finish your shield rotation and return to step four of the opener. Since your will be still on Cooldown, cast instead.
Considering that doesn't have an aftercast, you will have to enter slightly before its cast finishes. Therefore you will have less time available inside of , meaning that you have to cast sooner and exactly when finishes casting.
If you are feeling adventerous, you can cast and cancel most of its animation with for an additonal clone.

Always try to chain your abilities in a way that allows you to finish auto attack chains — while respecting the priority list — as the majority of the damage is loaded into the final part.
However, never massively delay abilities, especially not abilities that generate or extend boons.
