General Gameplay Tips

So where does this build get its damage from?

This build revolves around the maintaining both Aegis and Retaliation. Aegis is needed due to the 20% modifier from in Virtues. Retaliation is needed due to the modifier from and in Radiance.

Your Aegis sources are either from your Chronomancer, or from . If your Chronomancer is plying Chaos then you should have a really high output of Aegis and even from Domination too.

Your Retaliation is covered from your , , , and . Your produces Retaliation due to the trait in Radiance. All of your Virtues also apply Retaliation due to the trait in Virtues.

Your trait , in Radiance, means that you never need to worry about your Critical Chance. This means that it doesn't matter if you have or not.

A couple of general tips and tricks

You can cancel the aftercast of two skills;

  • by auto attacking afterwards
  • by weapon stowing

If there are multiple targets in range of the boss, you can use inside the boss's hitbox for extra hits.

Always use inside the boss's hitbox to maximize the number of hits.

Heal and Utility Variations

You mostly run due to its short cast time and the large amount of heal you get out of it.

is a good choice in well coordinated groups as you can use weaponstow to cancel the animation but still keep the block, however this removes any kind of heal from the skill.

If you are lacking condition cleanse, you could drop for .

If you need Stability and can absolutely trust that you won't need an additional Aegis, you could drop for .

Spirit Vale

Vale Guardian 22,021,440 2,061 687 2,000

There are a few sources that can strip your Aegis here so you need to be fairly careful.

  • The Seekers can strip it with their pulsing aura.
  • - The Blue AoE circles will strip on spawn and when they trigger the teleport.
  • The auto attack from Vale Guardian.

To reapply your Aegis you can use or .

You can use inside Vale Guardian's hitbox to get the maximum hits, assuming that Seekers are near. You need to be careful that you don't get your Aegis stripped.

Use to regain your health after a green explosion.

If you are struggling with Aegis uptime, you can always play Dragonhunter.

Gorseval the Multifarious 21,628,200 2,748 1,374 4,500

, the Knock Back skill from Gorseval, will strip your Aegis. Luckily, you have and to reapply Aegis. Just remember that you need Aegis for your 20% modifier from .

You can use during the CC phase, so you can continue your burst rotation throughout. Just make sure that you stop your burst if runs out due to slow CC.

During the split phase you can use Whirl Finishers in Light Fields to cleanse Weakness.

Salvation Pass

Slothasor 18,973,828 2,748 1,374 4,000

If your Chronomancers are not pulling in the Slublings efficiently, it maybe worth while to play Dragonhunter instead. To combat this, you can use to pull in the adds.

Additionally, if your Chronomancers are also being lazy and are not using to block the projectiles when Slothasor uses , you can take to block them instead.

To help with CC, you can take instead of . This way you can proactively use on the breakbars. Use it towards the end of the breakbar so your other DPS classes gain from the effects of .

Bastion of the Penitent

Samarog 29,493,000 2,748 1,374 4,500

It is fairly easy to keep almost permanent Aegis on Samarog due to his slow attack rate and clearly telegraphed attacks.

The only annoying part for Aegis uptime is during the split phase, as you need to stay behind Guldhem permanently.

You should consider taking in Radiance to help with the breakbar and to boost your other DPS classes.

If your team is really, really struggling with CC, you could take .

Deimos 35,981,456 2,748 1,374

Playing Guardian here can be fairly annoying as you are forced to dodge every or it will strip your Aegis.

For the rest of the encounter just stay behind Deimos and do your normal DPS rotations.

Prides and Greeds will strip your Aegis if any of them manage to reach Saul. So remember to apply it accordingly.

You can use Aegis to your advantage during . Seeing as you have fairly good access to Aegis, feel free to use one so you can continue to DPS Deimos without being forced to retreat to the centre of the platform.

Hall of Chains

Dhuum 32,000,000 2,748 1,374

Dhuum is a fairly easy encounter to maintain permanent Aegis on. All you need to do is stand exactly behind him.

The green AoEs will strip your Aegis, so make sure to be completely behind Dhuum.

After the "Soul Split" attack, if your Druid is being lazy with condition cleanse you always have the option to use .

Always do your burst combos while the tether of is active and the boss stands inside a Symbol due to in Zeal and in the Dragonhunter Trait Line.

If you need Stability and can absolutely trust that your Retaliation will be covered, you could drop for . If the boss is moving a lot you could take instead.

If you have a second Dragonhunter in your group, for example, you definitely will have permanent Retaliation without the need for .

Spirit Vale

Sabetha the Saboteur 34,015,256 2,748 1,374

Use to reach the Launch Pads faster if you have to do cannons.

Before going up, make sure you’re on your Scepter set as you’ll want to come back on your Greatsword set to make use of to reach Sabetha faster.

To destroy the cannon use:

This should be enough to kill the cannon assuming you have some Retaliation left. If not, you can use before swapping to Greatsword.

Use often to give your allies Aegis to prevent unlucky Knock backs into the Flame Wall or cannon shots.

If you have a second Dragonhunter in your subgroup you will have enough Retaliation from your symbols alone. You should take as Sabetha is stationary.

Salvation Pass

Bandit Trio

You can take Sword instead of Scepter here as you are mainly cleaving groups of adds.

Swap out for and take too. The Retaliation those skills grant ensures you get the 50% critchance from . The extra Stability will also minimize the effects of Fear.

resets when an add dies, so you can use it on cooldown to help group up adds.

You can also help with add control by pulling them together with .

Matthias Gabrel 25,953,840 2,748 1,374 2,500

You can swap out for so the Chronomancer or Mirage does not have to run .

Use during the storm phase to prevent the knockdown from and give Stability to the Chronomancers to share with .

If your party lacks condition cleanse, you can run . It also provides a huge burst heal.

If your party lacks CC you can save and also use on the sacrificed party member, assuming you don’t have to take .

If you do run or use for CC then remember to change for in Radiance. If you do this you need to compensate for the loss in Critical chance. In addition to this, you also need to take instead of on your Greatsword.

Stronghold of the Faithful

Escort

You can take Sword instead of Scepter here as you are mainly cleaving groups of adds.

Swap out for and take too. The Retaliation those skills grant ensures you get the 50% critchance from . The extra Stability will also minimize the effects of Fear.

You can also help with add control by pulling them together with .

Keep Construct 55,053,600 2,061 687 3,500

Honestly, if I'm really, really blunt, just relog to Weaver.

Xera 22,611,300 2,748 1,374 2,000

On the first platform, you can help with orb pulling by using .

Remember that traps do not trigger on shards. Your traps will also not trigger if you are being body blocked by the central pillar in the middle of the Xera platform.

You should use to help with shard clearing on the main platform.

When other members of your squad are teleported off the main platform, you may want to save your traps to clear the spawning adds.

Bastion of the Penitent

Cairn the Indomitable 19,999,998 2,748 1,374

Due to the vast array of complicated mechanics here, your main objective here is to do rotation practice and try to not look pathetic next to the condition classes.

If your party ignores the green Circles then it is best to save to avoid the CC.

If you get ported away from Cairn, you can use or as a gap closer.

Mursaat Overseer 22,021,440 2,748 1,374

Treat this boss as a DPS golem and just practice your rotations.

Try not to look really weak when compared with the other DPS classes like Weaver or Mirage.

Hall of Chains

River of Souls

Swap Torch out for Shield so you gain access to an additional CC from , assuming you want to CC the bombers. You also have access to CC from and .

If you aren't going to CC the bombers and instead want to give Desmina some blocks, you have plenty of sources for Aegis.

can also be used to give Desmina permanent Swiftness to help speed up the event.

Aegis and any form of block will stop the ticking damage while running on the River of Souls when you are outside of the protective bubble.

You can use to close the spawning rifts.

If you find yourself getting low while outside the protective bubble, you can always use to get you back up to full health.
