Daredevil Condition is only good on a select few bosses. Daredevil Power and Deadeye Power are useless on everything.

We are only keeping Daredevil Power because for some reason our officer cannot get over it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tips and Tricks
Staff Daredevil

  • Deplete your endurance at the start of the fight to be able to
    without losing the
bonus. You gain endurance when you steal due to
, the minor Grandmaster trait in Daredevil.
  • Try to use
off cooldown so it aligns with your
    .
  • Due to the changes to
, you no longer have to detarget the boss or move your camera.
  • This skill will now always hit 3 times and will never move you through an enemy.
Condi Daredevil
  • Try to dodge inside the boss to get all hits from
, it will also hit more if there are additional mobs around a boss.
  • Always try to finish your auto attack chain, as
does the most damage and is the final skill in the chain.
  • Only use
    and
when you have allies in range (Mesmer illusions, pets and minions count too).

Trait and Utility Variations
Staff Daredevil
  • For bosses where you are not permanently Revealed, take
    instead of
. Although, due to a recent patch, you are only permanently Revealed on Xera, Deimos and River of Souls.
  • Assuming you are in subgroup that does not require
(i.e. a condition heavy group or otherwise), the Druid can drop
    for
    while you take
instead, and replace the Assassin’s Backpiece with a Berserker’s one.

  • Note: Assuming you have Precise Infusions on your Assassin’s Backpiece and replace it with a Berserker’s Backpiece with Power Infusions you will be missing 3 stat points.

  • You can use
    instead of
, however this does result in a gain of endurance that could cause you to lose the bonus from
    .
  • Always keep
    and
. If you need to swap out a utility, always swap
    first.

Positioning
Staff Daredevil
  • Due to the trait
, it is important to constantly be in a flanking position to avoid losing 7% critical chance. It should be noted that despite the description,
actually increases the outgoing Critical Damage by 7% rather than increase the stat while above 90%.
  • Certain encounters, like Sabetha, can be difficult to maintain permanent flanking. If you feel like you can't permanently flank, then you can take
    and
to counteract the lost critical chance. You can also use a Berserker’s Backpiece instead of an Assassin’s one with full Power Infusions.

Break Bars
Staff Daredevil
  • has to land all 5 hit in order to gain access to
which deals 200 break bar damage.
  • deals 150 break bar damage per person (5 people) but you must use it when allies are in range. This skill does not work on Matthias.
  • can be used on bosses where
    does not work.
deals 200 break bar damage and the following skill in the chain,
, deals 232. The final skill in the chain,
, deals no break bar damage.
Condi Daredevil
  • deals 150 break bar damage per person (5 people) but you must use it when allies are in range. This skill does not work on Matthias.
  • also does 100 break bar damage due to
. This is a Major Grandmaster trait in Trickery.

Daredevil Power

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Vale Guardian. Although you do provide a fair amount of CC for the split phases, other DPS classes simply outperform or offer team buffs.
  • You should run Staff Daredevil on Vale Guardian due to the low toughness of the boss.
  • The
skill you get from Vale Guardian is Unstable Artifact. This can be used as a shadowstep if you get ported by a Blue AoE or to pull someone in who has been downed.
  • Save
for Vale Guardian, or on the Green Guardian if CC on it is slow as the Blue Guardian should be handled by the Chronos.
  • If the Blue AoEs appear when you are about to use
    , you can use
    instead to dodge it.

Daredevil Condition

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Gorseval. Although you do provide a fair amount of CC, other DPS classes simply outperform.
  • The
skill you get from Gorseval is Unstable Artifact. You can use this to immobilize adds during the split phase. Unstable Artifact will also proc
, a Major Master trait in Deadly Arts.
  • Try to dodge inside of his hitbox, particularly if the adds have been pulled close enough to get off more
    hits.
  • Save
and use it during the break bar phase to help CC. Make sure to use it when allies are within range.

Daredevil Power

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Sabetha. If you do decide to play Daredevil, then we highly recommend that you do cannons due to your high amount of mobility.
  • You should use Staff Daredevil here due to the phases and large amount of adds that can be hit by the venoms instead of Sabetha.
  • The
skill you get from Sabetha is Unstable Artifact, you can use this to shadowstep to the Launch Pads. The
skill you get from the Champions is Throw Magnetic Bomb and is a personal DPS increase when used.
  • You can also stack Bloodlust on the adds in the event preceding Sabetha.
  • If you are doing cannons, two auto attack chains and
should be enough to destroy it.
  • CC on this boss is not as important so you can use
    instead of
    .
  • Be especially mindful of your positioning here while she is doing her Flamewall, as her hitbox is anchored to the position where she started it. This is to ensure you maintain the 7% critical chance from
    .
  • If you feel like you can't permanently flank, then you can take
    and
to counteract the lost critical chance. You can also use a Berserker’s Backpiece instead of an Assassin’s one with full Power Infusions.

Daredevil Power

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Slothasor. This is mainly due to the lack of cleave and fairly weak single target DPS, although you do provide a nice amount of CC and condi cleanse.
  • Staff Daredevil should be better here due to the amount adds that can potentially be cleaved. It outperforms Condi Daredevil as your venoms can be wasted on adds instead of Slothasor. Power builds are also preferential here due to the short phases, with conditions being removed every 20%.
  • The
skill you get from Slothasor is Soul Stone Venom. This is a 10 person condi cleanse, so could be used to cleanse the Fear after the break bar phase.
  • If you have high DPS, you will not have your
ready in time for the 10% break bar. In this case, you must instantly
at the start of the fight to constantly have a Soul Stone Venom. As soon as you have cleansed the fear, immediately
again. This way you will always have Soul Stone Venom ready for each and every Fear.
  • Save
to help with CC during the break bar phases. Remember that you can also use
    .

Daredevil Power

  • You should run Staff Daredevil here, due to the short bursty nature of the fights and due to the large amount of adds.
  • The
skill you get from the bosses is Throw Magnetic Bomb. This can be used to do mortars with as it is a pulsing CC.
  • Take
here, if you are dealing with the mortars.
will be enough to deal with the single mortars. During the triple spawn, use
on the first add, the first hit of
on the second add and the second hit on the third add. Alternatively if you get the Mace Stolen Skill you can use that instead.
  • Feel free to take
    and
for a little bit more sustain if the adds remain outside and as another CC in the case of the latter.
    is also an option.

Daredevil Condition

  • The
skill you get from Matthias is Detonate Plasma.
  • Detonate Plasma is a super cool
that gives your entire squad loads of boons, however it is the Protection and Stability that make this skill useful. The Protection from this skill will be able to cover the entire squad without the need for
    .
  • You can use
as a gap closer if you have to drop mechanics.
  • Take
for the sacrifice to help CC, as
    does not work here.
  • Make sure you don’t waste your venoms during Matthias’s invuln phase.
  • Be careful not to have your skills interrupted in the Downpour phase when your Unbalanced stacks reach their threshold of 10 stacks. The Stability you gain from Detonate Plasma can be used to counteract this mechanic.
  • You could consider replacing
    for
if Matthias is moving a lot.

  • Either build will be fine here.
  • You can do the back warg if you are on Condi Daredevil.
  • Take
    or whatever elite you fancy.

Daredevil Power

  • Weaver is OP here, so just bite the bullet and relog.

Daredevil Power

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Xera. This is mainly due to the lack of cleave and fairly weak single target DPS.
  • The
skill you get from Xera is Soul Stone Venom. This is a 10 person condi cleanse and can be used at times when your party is suffering from a condi overload.
  • Take
here unless add management is a problem, in which case use
    instead. We recommend
if you have lots of adds as
may not actually hit Xera during the CC phase and could be wasted on the adds.
  • If your party is struggling with Shard clearing you can
onto the Shards to help out.
  • Consider getting a Pistol/Pistol set on swap for the platforms or in case you get teleported and need to range.

Daredevil Condition

  • The
skill you get from Cairn is Unstable Artifact. This is useful if you happen to get ported away by a displacement circle.
  • Take
as your elite, as you have no need for CC.
  • Replace
    for
as each of Cairn’s attacks count as movement until after his first teleport.
  • have also been found to be higher DPS in fast kills of Cairn. This is because you are not taking
and therefore have less Bleeding damage. This means that it is more preferable to cap out on Poison instead.
  • Avoid getting hit by the Displacement circles and stay close to him to avoid getting Shared Agony. Otherwise you can pretty much use it as a rotation practice encounter.

Daredevil Condition

  • The
skill you get from Mursaat Overseer is Detonate Plasma. This will cover Fury and Protection for the entire squad.
  • Take
as your elite, as you have no need to any CC, or
if you have a Human character to precast
    .
  • Apart from that, just use it as rotation practice as there are pretty much no mechanics here.

Daredevil Power

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Samarog. You do provide a lot of CC however other classes simply outperform here.
  • You should play Staff Daredevill here, as the short fast phases favour power builds over condi ones.
  • The
skill you get from Samarog is Throw Magnetic Bomb. This is really useful on this boss as it is a pulsing CC.
  • If your group has good DPS, then you will not be able to use
on every break bar. Luckily, we can use Throw Magnetic Bomb.
    1. Use
at the start so you already have access to the first Throw Magnetic Bomb and
has started to reset its cooldown.
    2. Use
      on the first break bar.
    3. Use Throw Magnetic Bomb, then
and then a second Throw Magnetic Bomb on the second breakbar.
    4. Hopefully, for the third break bar you will have
      back up again!
  • If you are baiting Fixation you can take
as you will be constantly Revealed.
  • If you do take
    replace
    with
. He will Fixate on the person that stands furthest away from him, therefore you can bait at least the first two by running in first and instantly shadowstepping far away after the first CC. Use
    to instantly port back.
  • Drop
    for
if you are baiting the Fixation.
  • Avoid wasting skills and initiative during his CC/invuln phase.

Regardless of Build

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Deimos.
  • The
skill you get from Deimos is Unstable Artifact. This can be used as a shadowstep if you get knocked back by the pizza attack or to pull in the hand kiter for a res if he goes down.
  • The
skill you get from Saul is Throw Magnetic Bomb. This can be used to help CC the first and third Saul.
  • Use
    here, or
    to help with CC.
  • Daredevil Power
  • You can run a second staff, as staff daredevil, with
    instead of
for the first and third Saul spawns.
  • Daredevil Condition
  • Try to use
without a target on a tangent to his hitbox to avoid moving into a Rapid Decay field (Black AoE Fields).

Daredevil Condition

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Soulless Horror.
  • As Soulless Horror moves a lot so you should swap out
    for
. Due to this, you should change the Major Master trait
    for
    in Trickery.
  • is a better choice of rune because you are taking
and therefore have less Bleeding damage. This means that it is more preferable to cap out on Poison instead.
  • The
skill you get from Soulless Horror is Soul Stone Venom. This is a 10 person condi cleanse and can be used in emergencies if people step into the AoE left by the tormented dead champions.
  • You need to be careful when using
if you are approaching a wall of death. The best option is to just manually aim it, instead of targeting Soulless Horror.
  • Save
so you can help CC Soulless Horror.

Daredevil Power

  • You should run Staff Daredevil here as all the mobs die very quickly, therefore making condi based classes useless.
  • Swap in
    instead of
. These are Major Grandmaster traits that you can find in Critical Strikes. We recommend this trait change to give yourself a little bit of self sustain when tanking floor damage if you are outside of Desmina's bubble.
  • We recommend
    over
as you will rarely be in range of
and therefore miss out on critical chance.
  • Save
so you can use it on the approach bombers.
  • If you want to be really cool, equip double
on your second weapon set and you can pew pew the rifts as they spawn.

Daredevil Power
Statue of Ice

  • Swap in
    instead of
. These are Major Grandmaster traits that you can find in Critical Strikes. We recommend this trait change so you can pew pew with double
    while standing in greens.

Statue of Darkness

  • Make sure to take
    on your staff instead of
    as the eyes are stunned.
  • Take care not to stun the eyes with
which is the final hit in the chain from
, as this may interupt the stun from the orbs of light. The same applies to
as one of the thieves uses
    .

Daredevil Condition

  • Check out our Team Composition Page as other DPS classes are much stronger than Daredevil at Dhuum.
  • Condi Daredevil is nice to play here as you can evade all of Dhuum's auto attacks due to
and dodging. If you do your rotation well, you shouldn't have to worry about passing through Dhuum with
    .
  • The
skill you get from Dhuum is Unstable Artifact. This can be used as a shadowstep away if you get any mechanics, or to get you green ports. This is also useful if your kiter goes down and you need to pull him out of a messenger.
  • We recommend using
, as there is no requirement to CC which makes taking
    pointless.
