GW2 Raid Academy and Raid Training Initiative Present: Zero to Hero 12
A Cross-Region Community Raid Training Event (April 4–10)We’re excited to announce that GW2 Raid Academy and Raid Training Initiative are teaming up once again to bring you Zero to Hero 12, our latest cross-region community raid training event for players in both North America (NA) and Europe (EU)!
This special week-long event will run from April 4th through April 10th, offering a variety of raid training opportunities and profession mentoring sessions aimed at helping players of all experience levels get more comfortable with Guild Wars 2’s raid content.
Whether you’re brand new to raiding or looking to polish your skills, Zero to Hero is designed to create a supportive and welcoming environment where anyone can learn. No prior raid experience is required, and there’s no need to bring meta builds—just a willingness to learn, participate, and improve.
The event is completely free and open to everyone who wants to participate. If you’ve ever been curious about raiding in Guild Wars 2 but didn’t know where to start, this is your perfect opportunity.
If you are playing in the NA data center, you’ll be participating through the GW2 Raid Academy Discord Server.
If you are playing in the EU data center, you’ll join through the Raid Training Initiative Discord Server.
Each server will host multiple raid training sessions across the week, led by experienced trainers and mentors.
These sessions will be tailored for beginners and returning players, with an emphasis on learning mechanics, understanding roles, and building confidence in a raid environment.
You’ll also have access to profession-specific mentoring, where experienced players can help you improve your understanding of your class, gear, rotation, and utility in a raid context.
What You’ll Need to Prepare
While no specific builds or gear are required, we do encourage participants to do some light preparation to make the most of the event. This includes:
- Unlocking the elite specialization you’re most interested in playing during raids.
- Having basic gear equipped (exotic gear is fine!).
- Being ready to join voice chat during events—don’t worry, speaking is not required, but listening in helps a lot.
Above all, we ask that you bring a positive, open-minded attitude. Our trainers and community mentors are volunteers, and their goal is to make your first raid experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
How to Get Involved
To participate, simply join the relevant Discord server (GW2 Raid Academy for NA or Raid Training Initiative for EU).
