Utility

The primary mechanic of Soulbeast is your F5 . While active, you meld with your pet and gain bonus stats based on your pet's type. Additionally, any bonus you would give to your pet is given direclty to you instead.

There are two important skills that will maximize your effectiveness in battle. Use each of them off Cooldown and fill with Auto Attacks:

  • 4 will Pull your target towards you. Using this will upkeep the very important buff, so long as you use the skill off Cooldown. The skill is Ground-Targeted so aim on the far side of the target if possible, but just using the skill is enough to trigger .
  • provides a substantial 25% Damage increase for 10 seconds on use! As you add in other skills, try to use them while this buff is active.

As with all Modular builds, add in the various Modules to modify your playstyle as your personal needs change. Each will increase complexity but also the damage and utility without drastically changing the core concept.

Adding in additional weapon skills will help provide additional utility and damage options.
Sword and Axe

Each of the skills on your primary weapon set are a Damage increase over Auto Attacks, but each has a downside. Learning how to use these skills safely is worth the investment! Make sure to never delay the skills listed in the Basic Gameplay Guide above.

  • 2 deals bonus damage to Defiant enemies and is a Leap Finisher. Be cautious of the forced movement.
  • 3 can Immobilize a Defiant enemy with a brief Evade. Be cautious of the forced movement.
  • 5 is a channeled skill that will Reflect projectiles and provide a lot of Damage. The skill will be cancelled if you move.
Longbow

If a fight requires you to move away from your target you can switch to Longbow, but make sure to swith back to Sword/Axe as soon as you are back in range. Use Longbow's skills as they are available with the following loose priority:

  1. 2 fires 10 shots and can easily be used on the move.
  2. 5 is a channeled skill that is Ground-Targeted. Use it so long as you can stand still for a few seconds as it is very easy to cancel. This will activate if you are using it.
  3. 4 provides good Defiance Break via Knockback.
  4. 3 will grand you Swiftness and Stealth. Save it for when you need help avoiding mechanics.

Do not use outside of melee. Save the skill until you are back in melee whenever possible.

Spacing out selected skills can maintain the bonus from Relic of Fireworks, providing a large damage increase at the loss of some sustain.
Light Up the Sky

By swapping your relic to you can noticably increase your damage at the loss of personal sustain provided by . In order to maximize the uptime on this buff, use the following skills spread out every 6 seconds which is about 3 complete Auto Attack chains.

  • Axe 5 . Activating the skill is enough to trigger the buff, so don't worry if you are forced to move before the channel ends.
  • F3 is a Leap Finisher
  • F2 provides good Defiance Break. Be aware of the forced movement.
  • Longbow 5 can be used when at ranged, but remember to Weapon Swap as soon as you are back in melee.

Heal Skill Options

There are two main choices for healing skills:

  • is your default healing skill. When used it will doulbe the boons on you, stacking intensity or duration as appropriate.
  • is a smaller heal but will provide substantial Condition Removal. This is further enhanced with , allow you to remove more conditions as well as provide some removal to your allies.
Leader of the Pack: Stances

Thanks to the trait , whenever you use a Stance skill, the effects are shared with your allies. Below are the most important traits to consider:

  • will cause all of the strikes from you and your party to have an extra attack for the duration. Try to use this every other for a big Damage boost.
  • provides a Stun Break and Stability while reducing all Damage taken for the duration.
  • , as mentioned under Heal Skill Options, provides strong Condition Removal to you and your allies.
