General Firebrand Tips

Take care when using at Vale Guardian as you wouldn't want to "accidentally" Pull in Seekers into the group.

You have a seven and a quarter second Immobilize with when you are on your Scepter set, this skill also applies 5 stacks of Vulnerability so can help out if you are struggling with Vulnerability uptime skills.

For shorter phases where burst is important you want to skip . Spending 3 seconds casting will effectively be wasted time that you could have attacked during.

When swapping out utilities the skill you swap first depends on the phase times you have, this is because in a short phase you can burst use all three charges of whereas in a longer phase the flat Condition Damage from will pull ahead.

Open up on Vale Guardian with your normal rotation. You can easily move out of , if it spawns first.

Make sure you don't Pull in Seekers with . If you're tanking on the side of the arena this should be fairly easy.

If your CC on Vale Guardian is slow, you can delay using and . If you are in your , you can use Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke.

Your will negate the damage from , as well as the teleport from . Pray to the RNG lord that this lines up.

You can dip into your and use Epilogue: Eternal Oasis during each Breakbar Phase. This will help your subgroup gain additional healing.

Split Phase

You should go to the Red Guardian during the split phase.

Take care not to Pull in the Seeker that spawns. If you do get aggro of it, you can use to Immobilize it.

Your will have its Cooldown reduced by 20% (or you will gain a page if you are in ) when you kill the Red Guardian due to . This means there is absolutely no reason to skill save here.

Gorseval

You want to drop and take . You simply use during every Breakbar Phase.

If you have trust issues you have the option to drop and take , you can use this to provide Aegis for your subgroup for every .

You can use for some add control after each Breakbar Phase.

Breakbar Phase

You can use and to help CC. If you are in , you can use Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke as well.

Be careful when stacking and during the Breakbar Phase. Remember that you can use to make you effectively immortal for six seconds during the Breakbar Phase.

Split Phase

Your will have its Cooldown reduced by 20% (or you will gain a page if you are in ) each time you kill a Charged Soul due to . This means there is absolutely no reason to skill save here.

If you are feeling greedy you can save during the split phase so that you will have the full three charges in the next main phase.

If you see a Charged Soul is getting dangerously close to Gorseval, you can use to Immobilize it.

Around each Charged Soul there is a pulsing AoE that inflicts Weakness. Dip into your and use Chapter 4: Stalward Stand. This will grant Resistance and will make sure that your subgroup doesn't suffer from the pulsing Weakness.

Sabetha

You can easily contribute to add control at Sabetha by using to Pull them in.

Make sure that you don't waste any of your burst as Sabetha goes Invulnerable. The same applies to the Champions as they will spawn Invulnerable.

If you are assigned to eat the first shroom you can place on Slothasor before he turns hostile to give him Swiftness. This way he will approach your team a lot faster. Make sure to swap back to your normal weapons before eating the shroom!

You want to use whenever possible to Pull the Slublings in. If Slublings are running around like crazy, you can dip into and use Chapter 3: Valiant Bulwark to provide some projectile defense.

If you see that your squad frequently get hit by , you can open and use Epilogue: Eternal Oasis followed by Chapter 2: Radiant Recovery to cleanse those conditions. Remember that also cleanses conditions!

Breakbar Phase

Don't go into your if Slothasor is about to go into his Breakbar Phase. This is because all conditions are removed at the start of each Breakbar Phase. Once the conditions have been cleansed, you can restart your rotation.

You want to save during the Breakbar Phase so that you can use saved charges after the Breakbar Phase ends.

Use , and to help CC. You can also use Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke, if you are in .

After each Breakbar Phase, Slothasor will Fear your squad. You can use followed by Epilogue: Unbroken Lines for Stability and Aegis to prevent Fear. This is especially useful for the 10% Breakbar Phase as sometimes your support classes won't have their Cooldowns.

Matthias

You can act as the main reflect at Matthias by taking instead of . You can use Chapter 3: Valiant Bulwark for every other reflect as it might not be back off Cooldown every time.

Conditions continue to apply when Matthias uses his , so always continue with your rotation when he uses this attack.

At 40% you want to use followed by Epilogue: Unbroken Lines and Chapter 1: Unflinching Charge for Stability and Aegis to prevent Fear from Matthias.

Breakbar Phase

Don't go into your if you are close to the sacrifice. You can easily burst down the sacrificed member if you aren't careful.

Use , and to help CC. You can also use Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke, if you are in .

You can help to clear shards by placing on them. Don't waste on the shards.

Remember that you can use to remove Slow after the Jade Knights explode.

Deimos

Use to Immobilize Prides if they start getting close to Saul. Remember that only one Pride can be alive at a time so Immobilize is much better than killing them.

You can use to provide Aegis to block and/or . This will help you have higher DPS uptime.

Split Phase

You can use and to help CC the Sauls.

There is no reason to skill save during the split phases, so just keep up your rotation as normal. The faster you phase Saul, the faster you are back at Deimos.

Remember to cleave both Saul and Deimos when possible.

Make sure to avoid Pulling in the Tormented Dead with . It will be funny to see but your squad won't be best pleased. You also want to be very careful when you use as it will Daze the Tormented Dead.

Use to Immobilize the Tormented Dead if you see it walking back to the group.

If you see that your squad is covered in conditions, you can open and use Epilogue: Eternal Oasis followed by Chapter 2: Radiant Recovery to cleanse those conditions. Remember that also cleanses conditions!

You can use and to help CC. If you are in , you can use Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke as well.

If your group has slow CC then you will want to take instead of .

Dhuum

You can use to provide Aegis if you see a squad member walking in front of Dhuum.

You can dip into if you see one of the Reapers getting low. Healing scales like crazy with the Reapers but make sure to use Epilogue: Eternal Oasis first.

will be up for every . You can use Epilogue: Eternal Oasis to convert the Torment into Might. If you missed anyone, you can use Chapter 2: Radiant Recovery to cleanse them.

10% Phase

You have no movement skills with this build. Make sure you aren't in charge of a button at the last 10%. You can, however, use Epilogue: Unbroken Lines in your to provide your subgroup with Protection! Chapter 1: Unflinching Charge also grants Swiftness.

Mythwright Gambit

At Nikare you can use to give Aegis and Stability for and respectively.

You can also use and to cleanse the Slow and Chilled from .

Kenut

At Kenut you can use to give Stability to counter . This attack by Kenut hits multiple times and you may still take damage from it even if you block with Aegis.

You can also block , the small AoEs that spawn which apply Torment. If you see the Torment is stacking up, you can open and use Epilogue: Eternal Oasis followed by Chapter 2: Radiant Recovery to cleanse those conditions. Remember that also cleanses conditions!

Whilst all of the previously mentioned mechanics can be countered by your great Tome utility, your tomes won't be up for every attack so you want to be smart when you use them in order to maximize how useful they are.

Qadim

Whilst you want to avoid going in the first two Lamps, you absolutely want to go in the third Lamp as offers perfect utility to deal with the Giants.

You can't do any damage to Qadim when the Breakbar is up. Don't waste your during or just before the Breakbar.

You could use to be Invulnerable during from Qadim.

Don't waste any of your big cooldowns on the Pyres. As you make your way back to Qadim you can use to pull the Magma Elementals away from the Lava Elementals.

Don't waste if Qadim is about to phase. You will want to have it up for when you engage the next Legendary Mob.

Breakbar Phase

You want to precast before each Breakbar and then use in order to hit both skills. The Breakbars in this fight are very short so you want to make sure you can hit both skills.

You can also use Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke, if you are in . After that you can also for extra CC.

The Key of Ahdashim

You probably want to take a pillar as you can run out and drop it on your Scepter set.

You want to swap for as more Breakbar damage is extremely helpful on this fight, also it can block projectiles from the adds near the end of the fight.

Don't waste your burst if the Breakbar Phase is about to start. Your Burning stacks will just tick into Barrier.
