The Fifth Expansion Is Coming!
ArenaNet has released a new blogpost detailing their new expansion: Janthir Wilds!
The launch and subsequent quarterly releases will be packed with new exciting features and content:
- The 8th Raid Wing (coming around November 2024), with three encounters.
- Approaching the new raid's story through open-world events with large groups of players.
- Challenge Mode and Legendary Challenge Mode for the new Raid, coming in the first quarter of 2025.
- Account-wide "Homestead" player housing (no, not horsing...yet?).
- A new Fractal and accompanying Challenge Mode, in the final release next year (around the 2nd quarter).
- Three new maps (two available at launch).
- Expanding Convergence content to the new region, including Janthir-specific enemies.
- A new acquisition method for the Warclaw mount, with new skill in PvE.
- Spears on land for all professions (with an open beta event from June 27th to June 30th which will not require preordering the expansion).
- New Relics.
- A new Legendary Spear (released after launch) and Backpack.
- New Wizard's Vault rewards.
- A new Player vs Player game mode and map, which will see beta testing later this year.
