Condition Virtuoso offers a high amount of sustained damage after a relatively short ramp-up time. Most of its damage output comes from applying massive amounts of Bleeding by critically striking the enemy, which triggers the traits and .

It is notable that this build can do very high damage even at 1200 range and has great self-healing through . This makes it a very resilient build that is easy to pick up and get good results with.

Condition Virtuoso maintains 25 stacks of Vulnerability on the enemy and can inflict a good amount of CC. It also has great utility with or a selection of Mesmer utility skills.

The gear is optimized for maximum damage output under ideal conditions with a and 18 x . Since these items come at a significant gold cost, it may be desirable to run a build variant that can use much cheaper consumables. The budget variant loses about 2.5% DPS in a perfect golem scenario where you are at maximum health all the time. In raid encounters, this difference naturally becomes smaller as you are not at maximum health all the time, but unless things go extremely wrong (e.g. the raid healer dies), the writ build should still offer slightly more DPS overall.

Since critical strikes are the main source of Bleeding, it is vital for a Condition Virtuoso to have 100% Critical Chance.

As such, the build benefits greatly from and . When lacking one of these buffs, it is worth adapting the build to compensate for the loss of Precision. This can be done by swapping the Sinister's accessories, shoulders and gloves to Rampager's. The budget build can simply use .
