Weaver Attunements
Weaver attunements work a little differently from core elementalist attunements. The Introduction to Elementalist page provides a brief overview of elementalist attunements; make sure you understand how attunements work before tackling this build!
As Weaver, attuning to an element changes the current element in the mainhand to the offhand and places the new element in the mainhand.
For example, if you are currently in / and you attune to , your new attunements will be /.
For Power Weaver, the basic attunement and gameplay loop is as follows (with your new attunement being the one on the left):
- /
- /
- /
- /
For now, Auto Attack as you get comfy with pressing the next Attunement off Cooldown. Do not delay swapping Attunements; this is a core foundation of the build.
Dual Attacks
Skill 3 (Dual Attacks) on Weaver is determined by the combination of elements you are attuned to. The order of attunements does not matter; that is, Fire/Air has the same Skill 3 as Air/Fire.
As you cycle through the basic attunement loop:
- Use the Dual Attacks in each Attunement off Cooldown.
- Remember that changing attunements will not cancel any skill you're currently casting. If available, use this to your advantage by swapping to your new attunement during the cast time of your current skill.
Don't delay swapping Attunements even if a skill is about to come off Cooldown. It's important to get into the habit of cycling through Attunements off Cooldown, so don't worry about finishing your Auto Chains just yet.
Once you're comfy with the above step, you can start weaving more weapon skills into your rotation.
- Use and off Cooldown. They are both good for DPS and will proc Relic of Fireworks, which we will address in the next step.
- Use twice in . This means you will want to start / and end / with this skill.
Start paying attention to your Relic of Fireworks buff. If and are not available, use to proc the Relic.
Try to finish your Auto Chains.
- The third hit of each Auto Chain, especially in , deals a lot of damage, so it's important to finish as many Auto Chains as possible without delaying the rest of the rotation.
- Grouping Auto Chains together and weapon skills together will allow you to seamlessly queue your weapon skills, contributing to a cleaner rotation.
is an instant-cast skill that deals damage based on your current attunements. To maximize the damage, you will want to get as many ticks in / as possible. The first tick happens after a short delay, so you will want to use one charge of right before fully attuning to .
- Glyph of Storms
- Open with Glyph of Storms in Air for burst damage; can be pre-cast slightly before the boss becomes targetable or arrives at the target location
- Otherwise, use off cd, but note that on small hitboxes, Firestorm is better than Lightning Storm, so you can delay by a second or two to cast in the appropriate attunement to maximize its effects.
- Use Arcane Blast while attuned to F/A if Elements of Rage is active. This will also give you decent burst damage if you can hit all 3 charges.
- Explain Weave Self
- Modified WS loop where you still only cycle between Air and Fire, following the same concepts as above. Keep in mind that during WS, your rotation is going to go at a much faster pace due to the reduced attunement cds.
Keep cycling through your Attunements during boss downtime to ensure you start the next phase with . Ideally you will start each phase partially attuned to and fully attuning as the phase or encounter begins.
You can take offhand Dagger if you require more Breakbar damage. The rotation will still follow the same concept.
- Use , , and for DPS.
- and will proc Relic of Fireworks, and both will be available every loop.
- yeets you 1200 units forward without a target selected, so make sure you have something targeted if you don't want to do that.
- Dagger Breakbar skills: , , and (soft cc from Cripple).
Once you're comfy with the above steps, you can move onto adding and into the loop. You can visit the Power Weaver page for the full loop and a complete overview of the build and rotation.
