Elixir U Alternates

The following are alternate utilities for when you have Quickness from an external source.

    • A channeled Block via
    • A strong Defiance Break via .
  2. provides Invulnerable for when a Block or Dodge won't cut it, as well as Stealth via .
  3. provides easy damage without much effort, as well as an additional Blast Finisher.
Elite Mortar Kit Alternatives

The following are useful when you don't need the incredible flexibility of .

  • gives you extra Defiance Break, as well as several additional Blast Finishers and all the benefits of , , and .
  • gives you either access to a large amount of Defiance Break (via and or ), or a large amount of extra damage (via from )

upkeeps your Fury. When there is an external source of Fury, you can take instead for more damage.

provides extra damage on and extra defiance break on . You can exchange for if you want a little extra Quickness in your engagements.

gives you a damage bonus when you have Vigor. provides you Vigor when you use a toolbelt skill.

gives you a damage bonus when your Endurance isn't full due to using a Dodge.

Rotation & Extras

As an Engineer, You'll be swapping in and out of your kits in order to deal large amounts of damage () and access swaths of utilities ().

You provide yourself offensive boons from the following sources:

  • provides you with some Might.
  • provides you with Quickness and Vigor.
  • Attacks which are considered an Explosion (such as from your and skills) provide you with Fury.

You Heal primarily from the following sources:

  • Blast Finishers in Water Fields.
  • Regeneration from .
  • A Pulsing Heal from in .
  • A Pulsing Heal from hitting enemies with an Explosion via .

If enemies have Protection, you can remove their boons with Use .

The following skills are your main source of your damage. Use them off cooldown.

Try to always cast and together, as well as and .

Stay near your enemies so that you get 15% Critical Chance from .

Don't forget to Dodge regularly to upkeep a 10% damage bonus from .

and skills use Ground-Targeting. These skills can be difficult to use in a timely manner with default settings. You can modify your settings as follows to ease using these skills in a rotation:

  1. Navigate to General Settings Combat/Movement
  2. Set Ground Target to Instant or Fast with Range Indicator
  3. Enable Snap Ground Target to Current Target; Alternatively Key-bind Toggle Snap Ground Target

Engineer has access to a significant amount of active damage mitigation.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball

in will pulse Blind on enemies, preventing them from hitting you.

can be used to Evade attacks. If you are bringing , you have access to a channeled Block with .

To prevent enemies from reaching you, in and in will apply Chilled on enemies, slowing them down.

Additionally, there is strong access to Crippled and Immobilize:

  • provides Immobilize
  • provides Crippled

Some alternative skills which provide these effects below:

  • (both the utility, and the Turret dropped by ) provides Immobilize.
  • provides Immobilize.
  • from provides both Immobilize and Crippled.

Using Tool Belt skills will provide Condition Removal. You can also use Projectile Finishers and Blast Finishers in the Light Field from in for Condition Removal.

A Significant amount of Heal on Engineer comes from using Blast Finishers in Water Fields.

You can get Water Fields from the following skills:

You have access to Blast Finishers from the following skills:

  • (an equivalent skill exists for every turret)
  • (which will blast twice!).

Additionally is a Leap Finisher, which will also Heal you in Water Fields.
