Key Concepts

Group Quickness/Alacrity is generated from Phantasm and Shatter skills.

Use your Phantasm and Clone skills off Cooldown.

Use your shatter skills when you have 3 Clones.

Use on bosses to reset your skills. Try not to waste it on random mobs.

Dealing Damage

Use or whenever you have three Clones for big damage and boon uptime.

  • Clones disappear when the target they're focusing dies, so remember to shatter them before that happens.

Use Well, Phantasm, and Clone skills off Cooldown. Wells can be saved for bigger encounters.

Follow this skill priority on your Greatsword set:

Follow this skill priority on your Dagger / Sword set:

resets the Cooldown of your Phantasm skills. When available, use it in the combo:
Continuum Split Notes

Some useful things to know about :

  • Use it with a minimum of two Clones to maximize the duration.
  • Enter as you finish casting a Phantasm. This will maximise the time you have for casting other skills.
  • Delay your Wells and if is about to come off Cooldown.

Follow this skill priority when in :

  • Wells
  • Phantasm Phantasm
  • Shatter skills
  • Other weapon skills

There are multiple interractions on Greatsword which make you cancel skills. As such, keep in mind to go fast, but not too fast

  • has priority over other Greatsword skills. Don't ask us why.
  • When doing the double combo, can interrupt your first cast.

Defense

Use for a channeled Block.

Use the shatter skill for Invulnerability, with duration based on the amount of Clones shattered.

can be used either to get into the enemy's face... or run away. You also Break Stuns with it.

Avoid using if you are standing in a hazardous area.

Skill Notes

Priority order when swapping out skills:

  • for damage, and an easily-avaliable Vulnerability spike
  • for group Stability and personal Stun Break
  • for group Aegis and Stability
  • for Projectile Reflect
  • for more Breakbar damage
  • over for more Breakbar damage. Also acts as a synergiser.
  • for teleporting 20 people up to 5000 units away

can be swapped to for stronger, single-target Breakbar damage.
Trait Notes

for Quickness.

for Alacrity.

for highest damage output or Illusions boon traits synergy. Use only in organised groups or when solo and running Illusions Trait Line.

Instead of Illusions Trait Line, you can take Domination Trait Line for higher damage at a cost of boon self-reliance.
Equipment Notes

can be swapped with:

  • for personal Quickness. If taken, use for Alacrity.
  • for added sustain in solo scenarios

Dagger can be swapped with mainhand Sword as an alternative for players without Secrets of the Obscure, with Evades and Boon Removal at a cost of Range and lower damage

Off-hand Sword can be swapped with Focus, for a Pull and Vulnerability at a cost of damage.

You can use any of the raid Power Chronomancer setups instead of the one featured on this site, although keep in mind that:

  • is generally higher value in Open World than in Raids or Strike Missions due to ease of getting value out of the 7% damage effect, as well as being more flexible when swapping the sigil for something else.
  • If you want an On-kill Effect food with a setup using Power / Precision food, use .
