Utility

is the unique mechanic of Soulbeasts where the player merges with their pet to gain significant stat boosts. Additionally, any effect that targets "your pet" will target the Soulbeast instead. Some examples are providing a 25% Damage bonus and provides a 10% Damage bonus.

Make sure to use , F5, to merge with your pet before an encounter. If you are downed in a fight, you will need to use this skill again when you are revived.

Soulbeasts are experts at stacking multiple buffs to create huge burst windows without sacrificing consistency outside of bursts. Each step below will add more and more to the powerful burst!

To make changes easier to see, new additions will be ☆Emphasized☆ with stars in each step after the first.

Step One - *Sic'Em!*

The most important part of the Soulbeasts's burst is . Upon use, your damage will skyrocket for 10 seconds! Whenever it is available, do the following burst:

is an instant cast skill, so always cast it during the prior skill. has a long aftercast and will immediately stop if you move or input another action. Even if interrupted, casting it is important for uptime.

Step Two - *Twice as Vicious!*

To maintain damage outside of burst, keep full uptime on . This trait is triggered by and .

To better allign with future steps, start on Hammer. The new burst will be:

  1. Weapon Swap
  2. Auto Attack
  3. Weapon Swap
  4. Auto Attack

When is available, burst again! If mechanics will prevent you from getting most of the value from , it is ok to delay your burst for a few seconds.

Step Three - Axe Mastery

Until this point, half of our burst window has been filled with Auto Attacks at the end of our burst. In this step we will add in the rest our Axe skills. Still starting on Hammer, the burst will be:

  1. Weapon Swap
  2. Auto Attack
  3. Auto Attack
  4. Auto Attack
  5. Weapon Swap

While on Hammer, use all of your weapon skills off Cooldown, trying to not interrupt Auto Attack chains. Make sure your Hammer 2 through 5 are all set to their Unleashed versions:

Step Four - The Beast Within

The last part of our burst will be adding in , , , and . Note that will only be available every other burst.

  1. Weapon Swap
  2. Auto Attack
  3. Auto Attack
  4. Auto Attack
  5. Weapon Swap

When on Hammer, make sure to space out to maximize uptime. See the Side Bar for more details.

Transitioning to the Full Build

At this point, you are ready for the Full Build. Look for the full opener and a streamlined Hammer rotation both in and out of the burst loop.

Trait Notes

For encounters with longer phases, including benching, use . will provide better results by default as you are learning.

Equipment Notes

An important part of this build is maintaining uptime. Most of this is built into the rotation provided at each step so you don't have to worry about it. Your burst loop maintains the bonus by spacing out and . While on Hammer this bonus will be maintained by using before Weapon Swap and then . Spacing out to midway through Hammer will provide almost full uptime on . If your uptime is lacking, that is a sign you need to speed up your rotation.
