Condition Willbender is a fast-paced build that is easy to learn conceptually but can be difficult to master. That said, it has high damage output, so with enough practice, you'll find yourself your way up to the top of the DPS charts!

Step One - Basic Rotation Concept

The basic rotation and list of priority skills is:

  1. off Cooldown

These skills should be top priority even when you start adding other skills to the rotation.

For now, Auto Attack to fill the gaps.

Step Two

Here are some pointers for :

  • Use this skill nearly off Cooldown. You can delay it by a second or two to put weapon skills on Cooldown to take advantage of .
  • Try to use inside the boss's hitbox to ensure all your Whirl Finishers hit the boss. You will not always have a Combo Field to trigger your Whirl Finishers on the golem, but you will almost always have one in real fights.

Here are some pointers for and :

  • Use your other Virtues as filler between other skills. Use them when your weapon skills are on Cooldown to allow your weapon skills to recharge faster via . Note that both are movement skills, so use them judiciously.
  • You can save and to avoid danger through their Evade and shadowstep/Aegis/Stability respectively. Making good use of these skills in real fights will result in higher DPS!

At the start of an encounter or phase, you can cast twice as a gap closer and/or to quickly max your stacks.

Step Three

Once you are comfortable with the basic rotation, you can start Weapon Swapping to add in off-hand weapon skills.

Off-hand Torch:

  • Use three times; Weapon Swap right after the last cast.
  • Fully channel .

Off-hand Pistol:

  • Use three times; Weapon Swap right after the last cast.
  • once per loop.

Some important things to remember about these skills:

  • and are both Ammo skills, which means you can safely prioritize the skills listed in Step 1 and Step 2 without delaying your rotation. However, don't let them sit at 2 Charges for too long!
  • can be easily canceled by other skills, so make sure you don't interrupt it early.
  • has no cast time and thus can be activated when casting other skills. You have a 3-second window to use after activating , so put your other skills on Cooldown before throwing .
  • has a long cast time and only applies Burning on the last tick. It can be easily canceled by other skills, so make sure you don't interrupt it early, and only use it when all other weapon skills have 2+ seconds of Cooldown left.

Rushing Justice

Using grants you the Justice buff for 10 seconds thanks to . While this buff is active, you will inflict AoE Burning every three strikes. This means:

  • Use off Cooldown to maximize DPS.
  • Attacks that hit multiple times such as will proc the Burning effect more often.
  • Casting and triggering will build stacks of , which thanks to will provide up to +25% Strike Damage and Condition Damage. Other Virtues will also maintain this buff, but using off Cooldown will fully maintain all stacks.
Restorative Virtues

Thanks to , striking enemies while you are buffed by one of your Virtues (i.e. , and ) will reduce the Cooldown of your weapon skills. This stacks per Virtue, which means using multiple Virtues will reduce the Cooldown of your weapon skills even more. While you don't always want to stack Virtue effects during your rotation, it is still something to note to ensure you make the most out of using your Virtues.

In other words, you will gain the most benefit out of using Virtues when your weapon skills are on Cooldown.

Symbol of Ignition

Striking an enemy standing inside  will Burn all enemies inside the symbol. Projectiles fired through the symbol to strike enemies outside the symbol will apply Burning to all enemies struck by the projectile. Both of these effects share a 1/4-second cooldown—there is no double dipping.

This means that along with , it is important to stack as many multi-hit abilities as possible within these timing windows to maximize DPS. Condition Willbender is a build that greatly rewards pressing your buttons fast.
